Ravenscroft Crystal Buckingham Decanter

Almost perfect

I bought this decanter for my scotches, the decanter is absolutely beautiful with the rich golden color reflected throughout the bottle. The reason I chose ravenscroft is that it is lead free, it is important to me since I intend to leave my scotch in there for weeks or even months. The decanter is very classy looking, certainly not cheap.

This thing is quite heavy, especially if you intend to fill it over half bottle. Upon closer examination, I could see swirls in the crystal surface left from the manufacturing process, but just take one step back and you will barely notice. When I got the bottle I noticed the mouth of the bottle was chipped, a very small chip, I didn’t bother to ship it back for replacement. The other thing that bothered me was that to pour out the remaining 1/4 liquid in the bottle, I have to tilt the bottle over 90 degrees. With the bottle being on the heavy side, this was somewhat straining to the wrist. The cap rests in the mouth, it doesn’t feel like…

Very Pleased

I ordered this decanter as a present for my husband. It arrived in perfect condition. The weight and quality of the crystal is impressive. The size comfortably fits a 750 ml bottle. The heft of it requires a two hand pour. The shape of the top does cause a little dripping at the end of the pour. The stopper is made of all crystal (as opposed to some plastic ones that I found with lesser quality decanters) and fits nicely into the top. I would recommend this product to a scotch or whiskey drinker who appreciates a quality liquor. It is lead-free and therefore safe to store alcohol for long periods of time. My husband was very pleased with this product.

Beautiful Decanter!

I purchased this as a gift for my husband as he enjoys indulging in excellent scotch. It is very substantial, but not too heavy. The thing I like most is the understated elegance. This is a fine addition to any home bar.
