We have a few of these, that just goes to show how good they are. We bought this one for my parents for Christmas.

Avoid plastic corks

The Screwpull is a brilliantly designed device that works great on most corks that are made of cork or of some cork composite. It struggles to pull some plastic “corks”. Having broken my first Screwpull on a plastic “cork”, I now use metal wing corkscrew to extract plastic “corks” and a new Screwpull for the rest.

Creme de la creme of corkscrews

I finally gave in and purchased on of these sets after wasting so much time on others.

I have various ones, OXO Goodgrips (rubbish) and traditional metal ones which the arms bent or snapped.

It is easy to use as the cork screws its self out – so no more of that putting wine bottles between your legs. Gets the cork every time and of course is a nice piece of equipment to leave on the table or bar area.

I wish I’d bought one years ago.
